They can be used as a decorative object as well as a box or vessel, and are a reference to the famous and delicious Limousin Golden Apple, the only French variety enjoying a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and harvested in the Limousin region, where the Bernardaud manufactory has been established since 1863.

Do not resist this fruit... which is anything but forbidden!
